Transformational Challenge

Hey Everyone,

As many of you know, starting Monday, I am making a total lifestyle transformational change — eating healthier, exercise, and incorporate mind and Spirit wellness.

So, what prompted this desire to change? Simple, a conversation, with a world renowned medical intuitive, Caroline Sutherland. During this conversation, I learned of two amazing and astounding facts which are about two simple ingredients that are included in many of the food regimens of Americans; Sugar and Yeast.

Did you know that yeast (Candida Albicans) is considered a major contributing factor of chronic illness — including Cancer? Through my research I learned that by eliminating sugar, processed foods, and yeast products one can alleviate many symptoms that you may be experiencing in your life; migraines, IBS, asthma, fatigue, ADD, bad breath, memory loss, insomnia, bloating, gas … and so much more!

Candida Albicans, are typically a harmless yeast that live within the mucus linings of our digestive tract, as well as, other membranes. Yeast is a fungus. Candida Albicans are opportunistic pathogens that when out of balance or control can cause a variety of health and illness issues within the human body.

What can cause this balance to become unbalanced?

Sugar
Birth Control
Hormones
Steroids
Stress
Antibiotics
It’s important at this juncture to realize that Candida yeast thrives on sugars and sweeteners. So, if one is trying to avoid upsetting the balance of yeast in the body it would be good to avoid all sweeteners; glucose, dextrose, fructose, sorbital, aspartame, and fructose as well as other food additives — MSG and Malt. In addition, be aware that many of the additives in canned and packaged food can promote yeast growth

So, what foods can you eat that are healthy and don’t promote yeast growth?

Chicken (can be breaded with Rice Flour for example)
Beef
Seafood/Fish
Eggs and Quiches
Fresh Vegetables
Nuts
Seeds
Oils
Butter
Soups
Teas
Coffee
Water
Rice, Rice Flower, Rice Pasta
Food’s You’ll Want to Avoid:

Cakes
Candy
Milk
Cheeses (especially moldy chesses)
Pastries
Mushrooms
Pickles
Fruit Juice
Honey
SUGAR (including foods containing it)
Dried Fruits
Beer
Wine

So, you aren’t going to be starving for food, counting calories, adding points, etc. You will, however, be conscious of what food and products you are putting into your body.

What about fruit?

It’s important to realize that fruit is comprised of tons of natural sugars — which as I already stated, promote yeast growth.

However, you can have a piece of fruit a day — if you want. I would recommend low sugar fruits like blueberries or raspberries, etc. Of course, when consuming even those do so in moderation.

Making this change in your food selection can initially be similar to a detoxification as the yeast that is typically used to being fed breaks down and die off they release gases that often cause you to feel worse — headaches and some of the other symptoms you may have experienced may increase for a short time.

Remember, that you are making this change to increase YOUR health and wellness … the end result will be fantastic.

Also, I will be putting up recipes that would help you along the way. I’ll also encourage you to post and share recipes that you enjoy too!! We are building a community and a support structure as well!!

Exercise

As with many lifestyle changes regarding health and vitality — exercise is important! I’m not saying join a gym or become a workout fanatic…

I’m saying that once your body is accustomed to the new energy you are supplying it via the food you are eating — your energy and overall wellness will change. With this increased energy let’s do something productive and burn some access body fat which all that unprocessed sugar as become.

I am going to make a few suggestions and give you some exercises that will help you! Of course, I recommend walking, a jog (when you are able), swimming, biking, hiking, etc.

Each day, I will post an affirmation and inspirational message — this will serve to treat the overall system of your Spirit.

I will also be giving you tips on Meditation and becoming one with your body!

Jihad hits Fort Hood

The violence and tragedy of the war reached American soil yesterday. A Muslim American Soldier, Major Malik Nadal Hasan, a psychiatrist opened fire on his fellow soldiers with his eminent deployment to a war.

What caused this outburst of violence?

I believe, that he was devout Muslim, who FEARED going to either Iraq or Afghanistan and opening fire on fellow Muslims. I believe that this FEAR took a hold of his psyche and the more he focused on this — the more that fear expanded and consumed him.

I have read reports where Malik argued regularly against the war, yet, would celebrate when an American Soldier was shot due to a Muslim.

It is my impression, that Malik knew exactly what he was doing and was acting out of sheer FEAR and TERROR of opening up on whom he considered his true brethren — Muslims. I also feel that he was in an emotional state of imbalance as well.

The mere thought of going against his own people (and in his mind this was the people we are at war with) was the ultimate betrayal. He could not kill people that were apart of his religious family.

So, he turned to their enemy — which is US and opened fire on his American Soldier family.

The Jihad has hit American soil and spilled American blood.

In yesterdays blog, I spoke of various types of results from an EGO and Fear based reality world that we create and live in — then this happens. It serves as yet another example …

It is my belief that he opened fire on soldiers first as an acclimation to his faith and people. I believe he felt the result would be his death…which in his mind was more honorable than going to war against his own people.

I believe when life is lost due to such horrible acts of violence and travesty — we forget that we all die exactly at the time, place, and in the way we intended — instead we clutch on to such an act as a reason or excuse for a life cut short.

I expect many will disagree with the above thought, but it is very difficult if not impossible for those in the third dimension of reality to wrap their head around that concept because they are stuck in the world of the physical and so is their thinking.

There is no doubt what happened yesterday was a horrific display of EGO and driven by the FEAR BASED REALITY…

How did EGO play a part?

The moment he decided to play GOD … the moment he put himself and his belief system above everyone else.

My thoughts and prayers go out to EVERYONE involved and I hope that the families of the fallen find it in their hearts to offer forgiveness.

I also pray that this awakens our eyes to the result of our own violent acts — WAR. Casualties happen daily in war on both sides of the spectrum, two sides believing they are RIGHT, and believe because of that they have a license to kill.

How many people will have to loose their life to this Jihad? How many families will have to loose their; Fathers, Mothers, Sisters, Brothers, Cousins, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, etc … ??

WHEN IS ENOUGH … ENOUGH??

It is now very real to many of us because before it was a world apart and now it’s in our own backyard…OUR COUNTRY..
