Why is EVERYTHING so Hard?
Wed ,09/12/2009I recently came across a friends blog where the question was posed …
Why is it that everything we do has to be a challenge? Why do we have to use every bit of energy just to have a life that we lack the energy to actually live? I fully understand why we have to struggle in life but why do we have to struggle through every part of life? Why can’t some things just come easy and allow us to have some energy to enjoy it?
Here is my answer …
When dealing with life – outlook and perception is everything! What we give our attention to and focus on persists and expands within our life. So, if you are constantly seeing yourself faced with challenge and hardship – what will expand and persist with this perception?
Is everything really a challenge? Is your life really as difficult as you believe? Or can you change your outlook and perceive it in a different light – thus causing a change?
Right now, you aren’t using energy to manifest the life you lack – you are manifesting what you feel your life is lacking. In our quest for abundance, one must feel and be abundant – is that going to happen by concentrating on what we lack? Do we truly lack anything or is it we haven’t caused for ourselves a different experience due to our focus and attention being on “negative things”.
We call forth certain experiences within our life so that we may learn and ascend realms of consciousness – acquiring a lesson. The problem is, that being in the third dimensional realm of consciousness – the physical – we allow ourselves to be bound by physical emotions and things. This makes it difficult to see clearly…
What you consider a challenge in life – is where you are being taught a valuable lesson. A lesson, by the way, you chose to experience…So, should we get angry with the teacher or find the value in the lesson and take away the positive.
I tell people all the time that in every seemingly negative experience one can find a gem – a glimmer of light. Now, so often people focus on the dirt and rubble (the experience) instead of the actual treasure and positive that came out of it. Everything that we in the physical dub as being negative can be viewed in a positive light – it’s our choice to do that or not to.
Life is only as difficult as we create, allow, and perceive it to be. The reason you feel challenged and frustrated to the point of anger and depression is because you keep manifesting what it is you don’t want instead of what you do. This is rendering you into a state of hopelessness and you feel depleted, yes?
When we wish to manifest change in our life we need to change the way we look at it.
The answers we seek are already within us – we are fully capable beings filled will unlimited possibilities. Yet, we allow others to set limits for ourselves and we set them too!
I could go on, but the real question is; Are you ready to open your higher consciousness eyes and look at life from Spirit?
Or are you going to continue going through life with a self loathing, a feeling of lacking, depressed, angry at the world for the life you are choosing to manifest?
You have the power to manifest the life you deserve to live! It’s up to you to do so…
My friends reply was;
It absolutely makes sense but how do you switch from viewing things in the physical sense to viewing them in the spiritual sense? How do you unset the boundaries that have been set? How do you get past the sense of loss that drowns the soul and weakens your strength and will to go on?
I replied with;
1. How do you switch from viewing things in the physical sense to viewing them in the spiritual sense?
Answer: One must change from viewing their life from the perspective of Ego and a Fear Based Reality. These two filters, through which physical beings operate are the vehicles through which all sorts of things flow — except the truth. Let’s take the Ego which is constantly comparing ourself with others which enables us to feel less than, greater than, or equal to — the ego wishes to cause separation and segregation. For in order to feel better than we must see fault in our fellow man — right? We must be able to say that I could do that better, but why do we need to constantly be in the state of comparison? We don’t but rather we choose to because the Ego likes to be stroked and we like to see more physical things because remember the Ego values your life by the things around you (cars, houses, money, etc.).
When a person approaches a situation they do so either out of love or fear. For example, a person heading off to a job interview can trust that the universe will provide them with the exact job they need or they can be fearful of not getting the job and put the weight of the universe on their shoulders on top of that fear. Which is basically, compiling more fear on top of fear — if I don’t get this X, Y, and Z will happen and I’ll be screwed…
Spirit, sees things always from a place of Love, Light, Forgiveness, compassion and understanding…anything outside of those core components is coming from Ego and the Fear Based Reality.
So, instead of counting a million and one reasons why you feel your life is horrible, off track, and unsuccessful — Spirit would see the positive sides of the abundance that you DO have!
Let’s start off with a small list shall we?
Can I make someone smile or laugh?
Am I a good listener?
Am I compassionate?
Am I loving?
Am I understanding?
So, you are probably thinking how are the answers to those questions going to lead to your abundance. We must first find out what is within us all and bring that to the world — without fear of looking stupid, sounding stupid, etc. How many times have you caught yourself from telling a joke for fear of what others might think? How many times have you caught yourself from being nice to someone because a person you know doesn’t like that person … It happens all the time — the Ego and Fear Based reality judges all the time.
Let us continue this list …
What do I have in my life that brings me Joy and Happiness?
What are the things in life that I enjoy to do — for myself?
What company are you keeping and is that in alignment with where you want to go or be?
I could probably write a book about this…but, hopefully, you get the picture. Write down these answers.
Then come from a place of being abundant in all of these things — focus on what you have and not what you do not have. When we focus on our abundance more abundance will flow in!
2. How do you unset boundaries that are set?
Answer: Realize they don’t exist! You are fully capable of achieving and obtaining anything that you desire to manifest. Don’t doubt for a moment that you are not capable because once we allow doubt (fear) to occur we are telling ourselves that we can never be more than the limit we have set or allowed another to set on us.
3. How do you get pass the sense of loss that drowns the soul and weakens your strength and will to go on?
Answer: I will assume when we are talking about loss we are talking about death, right? So, my answer will be written to this end…
First, we NEVER lose anyone! They are always a thought a way. But, what it is that we grieve for is the physical connection — what that person represented, how that person affected your life, etc.
The biggest mistake people make with regard to loss is feeling the sense of loss. Another words, celebrate the life and all that their life meant to you! Know that when you randomly think of them — it’s happening because they are close. Know that when things remind you of them — it’s happening because they are there! Know that when a song comes on and you think of them — they are there! If the phone rings and nobody answers and your first thought is the person you feel you have lost — umm… guess what it was them.
Again, Ego and the Fear based reality, tell us that this person is no longer apart of the physical realm which means we can no longer count on them, hold them, experience them etc.
BUT
Spirit says this person has returned to the full and glory of their true self — SPIRIT and are more present NOW, more capable NOW, more aware NOW than EVER BEFORE!
Which school of thought makes you feel whole and complete? Which school of thought rings true?
